01The role

A high-leverage seat, not a junior one.

Small team, short cycles, design partners already in motion. You will own the product surface end to end at small scale: shaping requirements, writing specs, designing screens when a screen needs to exist, and staying close to the people who might buy this.

Because the team is small and AI-native, you will do more yourself than a traditional PM would. You prototype with coding agents instead of waiting on engineering. You produce the UI instead of handing off a sketch.

02Scope

What you will do

  • Turn a technical, fast-moving roadmap into clear, prioritized product requirements.
  • Write PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria engineers can build from without a translation layer.
  • Use Claude Code or Codex daily — prototyping flows, exploring the codebase, drafting specs, and pressure-testing ideas before engineering time gets spent.
  • Produce wireframes and UI in Claude Design or Figma, to a level that can be built from directly.
  • Join calls with prospective customers and design partners, and turn what you hear into product decisions.
  • Keep the backlog honest — what ships, what waits, what gets killed.

03Requirements

What we are looking for

  • 5+ years in software product management, ideally on technical, developer, or infrastructure products. Security, identity, data infrastructure, or platform experience is a strong plus.
  • Fluent with AI coding agents. Claude Code, Codex, or equivalent, used as part of your actual workflow — not something you tried once. Be ready to show how you use them.
  • Can design the UI yourself in Claude Design or Figma when the product needs a screen.
  • Customer-facing. Credible on a discovery call with a technical buyer, unsupervised.
  • A strong writer. Most of this job is written.
  • Americas or nearshore time zone, with meaningful overlap with US business hours.
  • Self-directed. Ten hours a week only works if you can operate without being managed.

04Bonus

Nice to have

  • Seed or Series A startup experience.
  • Background in cybersecurity, compliance, or regulated industries.
  • Technical enough to read code and API docs without a translator.

05Terms

The engagement

  • Independent contractor, roughly 10–12 hours per week.
  • Fully remote and flexible, with availability for a few recurring meeting slots.
  • Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
  • Scope can grow over time for the right person.

06 — Apply

Send a short note covering three things.

  1. A product you owned end to end, and a call you made on it.
  2. How you actually use AI coding agents in your workflow.
  3. A link to UI work you designed yourself.

Ready when you are

Submit the application form — a few details, your résumé, and the note above. It lands with the people you would be working with. We respond in 1–3 business days.
